New York City is a place overbrimming with frenetic energy. Sometimes it’s tough to find an activity that you can do to reconnect with yourself. I have found the most peace in taking bike rides. When I lived in West Harlem, I would take the bike path along the Hudson River, all the way down until I hit One World Trade Center. The morning rides were the best, because at 6 am, hardly anybody was on the path, and I could ride as fast as I wanted. Anyway, in my exhaustion, I was able to feel an inner calmness difficult to find in the day-to-day city living.
What about you? What do you do to find your peace in the city that never sleeps?
Any green it’s perfect
But Central Park is the best
With a chocolate.
